Students hope to make it hot in these four vacation spots

Cancun
This Mexican vacation spot may be the most traveled to spring break destination in the world.

Cancun, which lies on the tip of the Yucatan Peninsula, provides a modern resort city with very little old culture still in tact. However, Mayan ruins are only a day trip away.
Sophomore Valerie Delaune plans to travel to Cancun for spring break along with several W&L friends.
Delaune said that she's looking forward to relaxation, which will be easy to find at one of Cancun's many resorts and spas.
The restaurants and bars are a huge part of the Cancun vacation.
More than anything else, Cancun is a party destination.

A lively beach town on Mexico's Baja Peninsula, Cabo San Lucas is a popular vacation spot for outdoor enthusiasts. With deep sea fishing, championship golf and miles of shoreline, Cabo caters to the interests of most travelers.
Senior Mary Jacob Rankin said that she is spending spring break in Cabo with a group of about 12 or 13 of her friends.
"I was interested in doing something with just my close group of friends rather than the entire school," Rankin said. "I have done that in Destin before, and while it is fun, that's not what I wanted this year," she said.
Rankin said that she knew she wanted to travel to someplace warm. With an average high temperature of 86 degrees in April, Cabo promises to provide the perfect weather for an ideal vacation.
