Administration plans to re-design freshmen housing

The Baker-Davis-Gilliam residential halls may soon play home to something like professor's offices instead of freshman dorms. Plans are in the works to one day have all freshmen live in only Gaines and Graham-Lees, and to build more housing for upperclassmen near Woods Creek.
Lyman Johnson will provide expert insight

Washington and Lee School of Law Professor Lyman P.Q. Johnson will serve as an expert witness before the U.S. Supreme Court next term.
Johnson is the Robert O. Bentley Professor of Law at the Washington and Lee University School of Law, where he teaches and writes about corporate and securities law.

In a time of economic recession, giving away money is simply harder to do. That is why Washington & Lee's Board of Trustees has issued the Annual Fund Challenge.
About 8 percent of the University's budget comes from the Annual Fund. The money is used for anything and everything, including equipment for computer and science labs, increasing the library collection, and maintaining the grounds and services on campus.
Trident redesign under way

The Trident will be taking this Spring Term off to redesign our web site. Since this is now our only method of publication, we want to bring you the news in the best way possible.
