True, most W&L students haven't even packed for Washington break yet, but that doesn't mean that spring break isn't on their minds.

SVU expands to accommodate growing interest

Buena Vista may have between 600 and 900 more residents within the next few years. Southern Virginia University has grown from 76 to about 600 since it was reorganized by members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, or Mormon Church, in 1996, and growth is likely to continue.

Hunting safety issues touch Rockbridge, rest of nation

David Stack, 44, was a general contractor from Nanjemoy, Md. He had hunted turkey and deer since he was a young boy, and shared his passion for the outdoors with his son Brian. Stack's search for trophy turkeys brought him to Rockbridge County on the opening day of spring gobbler season in April 2003.

Local youth unaware of curfew

While many Lexington residents may not know it exists, the Lexington curfew law has been in effect for over 35 years. The law prohibits anyone under the age of 17 to be out after 11 p.m. any night of the week. "I raised three children here and I didn't know about [the curfew]," said Lexington Mayor John Knapp.
