Nestled in the heart of Central City is Central City Café, a small restaurant that's been serving up comfort food to local residents since owner Dave Luther decided to open the eatery 16 years ago.
On a warm summer morning in June, about 25 minutes before the restaurant opens for the day, Luther is placing crisp white tablecloths and the day's menu on all the tables in the restaurant.

Elonda "Dai" Womble is a senior physical therapy major from Sanford, N.C. who takes much pride in fixing home cooked meals and desserts for her friends. Since the age of seven, Womble has been honing her skills in the kitchen.

Taking a break from summer classes, the Campus Activity Board hosted a pajama jam in the Martin Village Community Jam Wednesday June 25. The party started at 7 p.m. DJ Dexter Dynamite provided the clubbing music all night.
